A spherical roller bearing is a rolling-element bearing that permits rotation with low friction, and permits angular misalignment. Typically these bearings support a rotating shaft in the bore of the inner ring that may be misaligned in respect to the outer ring. The misalignment is possible due to the spherical internal shape of the outer ring and spherical rollers.Despite what their name may imply, spherical roller bearings are not truly spherical in shape. The rolling elements of spherical roller bearings are mainly cylindrical in shape, but have a profile that makes them appear like cylinders that have been slightly over-inflated.

| CA | It consists of one piece of machined brass cage,one inner ring with double flanges and one guide ring centred on the inner ring.The limit speed is higher,and have a relatively small noise. |
| MB | It consists of two piece of machined brass cage,one inner ring with double flanges and one guide ring centred on the inner ring.its performance and characteristics are similar to CA, but load rating is lower. |
| E | It is the latest design, using symmetric spherical roller, two piece of pressed steel cages ,flangeless inner ring and guide ring centred on the cage,Guide ring around the outer can improve lubricating condition on roller face of end.It can also reduce friction,help guiding roller in the nonload region,and assist roller into the loading area,meanwhile,the length of roller is getting longer so that the load ratde has been enhanced. Usually rated load can be increased by 20% -35%. |
Application:
Mainly used in motorcycle rear axle wheel hub, heavy machine tools' main shafts, big power reduction gears, axletree axle boxes, roller wheels of transportation devices, and the supporting rollers and working rollers of the rolling mills.
